This tour is specially designed for adrenaline junkies who need to have a thrilling and exciting experience. It includes carefully selected soft adventure activities around Sri Lanka, including hiking, cycling, white water rafting, and enjoying game drives.
Day 1 – Arrival – Negombo
You will be greeted by a representative at the airport and guided to Negombo. Depending on your arrival time, you may be able to do a quick city tour if time permits. Negombo is a popular fishing village that some call the Small Rome.
Day 2 – Sigiriya / Habarana
Start your journey to Sigiriya. Climb the Sigiriya rock fortress in the evening, discovering water gardens, boulder gardens, art galleries, and ruins of the castle. In the evening, do a soft hike to Pidurangala rock to witness a beautiful sunset from the top.
Day 3 – Sigiriya / Habarana
Do an exciting cycle ride through the back roads of a Habarana village. Cycle along the gravel roads passing by local village houses, then enjoy a Catamaran boat ride in a lake where you can witness both Sigiriya and Pidurangala rock. In the evening, visit Dambulla cave temple which displays the ancient stone carving and painting skills of Sri Lankan craftsmen.
Day 4 – Kandy
Travel to Kandy, the heritage city. In the afternoon, discover Kandy city by visiting the Temple of the Tooth Relic, the most respected religious monument in Sri Lanka. Explore the Royal Botanical Garden, the ancient lake, gem museums, and witness a colorful cultural show performed by local traditional dancers.
Day 5 – Kitulgala / Adem’s Peak
Travel to Kitulgala to enjoy an adventurous white water rafting session on the Kelani River, passing through five rapids graded between Class 2 and 3. After a thrilling time, travel to Adam’s Peak and prepare for a late-night climb to witness the sunrise.
Day 6 – Ella
After climbing down Adam’s Peak, travel to Ella, a famous location for magnificent views, mountains, and waterfalls. Hike to Ella Rock in the afternoon, passing by the famous Nine Arch Bridge, and take in the breathtaking scenery.
Day 7 – Yala
Experience the longest zip liner adventure at Flying Ravana amidst the luscious green estates of Ella. Proceed to Yala, stopping on the way to witness Ravana waterfalls and the Ella Gap. In the afternoon, enjoy a game drive at Yala National Park to spot leopards and wild elephants.
Day 8 – Colombo
Travel to the capital city of Colombo. On the way, pass by the stilt fishermen and stop at Galle Fort to explore the Dutch Fort and its colonial buildings. Continue to Colombo and spend the late evening exploring the city on your own, visiting spots like Galle Face Green and Viharamaha Devi Park.
Day 9 – Departure
Travel to the airport for your flight back home after an exciting and memorable tour in the paradise island.
